WASHINGTON (AP) An Italian violin maker says it will be offering new instruments from the violin makers’ carbon fiber neck rest at the Christmas tree industry’s annual New York City event.
The new violin models will be offered in the United States by violin maker Esteve Strada, according to a statement posted on the company’s website on Monday.
The company has not yet announced when the new models will arrive.
In addition to the new instruments, Strada says it’s also planning a new series of carbon fiber violins, and a new violin line for violins in the American market.
The company, which has made violins since its founding in 1888, has sold more than 50,000 models since it was founded in 1787.
It was founded by Italian violin makers Alessandro Strada and Gianni Della Vergara in 1792.
The Strada family has been making violins for nearly 300 years.
