The International Piano Association announced on Tuesday that the 2017 World Championships were held in Berlin, Germany, as a protest against President Donald Trump’s immigration ban.
Trump announced in January that he would ban travel to the United States from seven Muslim-majority countries and halt the entry of refugees for 120 days.
In addition to the ban, the new executive order will limit visas to certain countries and impose additional sanctions on companies that do business with Iran and North Korea.
The IPA will hold the 2018 World Championships in London, Britain, on March 4-7, 2018, which is also the International Piano Federation’s World Cup.
It was announced earlier that the IPA would hold the 2019 World Championships on July 6-10, 2019.
Potters violinist Mireille Gautier-Cauvin won the 2017 IPA World Championships, which was held in Madrid, Spain, on December 3-5, 2017.
The 2016 World Championships was held at Stade de France, Paris, and the 2015 World Championships held at the Coliseum Arena in London.
The 2015 World Cup was held on March 17-19, 2015, and featured the US and Germany, with the final held on the last day of the tournament.
The 2018 World Cup, held in Paris, France, on November 5-6, 2018 was held before the ban was announced.
Potter violinist Andrea Fichelli won the 2018 IPA International Piano Championships, the first time the IAP has won the prestigious competition.
The IPA is an international association that organizes the International Championships for the Musical Instrument, and is one of the biggest competitions in the world.
Pottery violinist Mariam Ozer won the 2016 World Cup for the US, and won the 2014 World Cup after playing a solo performance in the Grand Palais, Paris.
Potts violinist Gabriella De Mestre won the 2015 International Piano Championship, and then the 2015 IPA Championship.
She was also named the 2016 IPA Female Artist of the Year.
The 2017 World Championship was the first major tournament held for the new instruments since the ban.
The 2016 World Championship took place at the Forum in Paris and the 2017 event was held just outside of Munich, Germany.
